Rams defeat Glens Falls

July 5, 2014 - WATERTOWN, NY- The Watertown Rams (15-11) used two big innings to defeat the Glens Falls Golden Eagles (10-15), 14-5, at the Alex T. Duffy Fairgrounds on Saturday night. Dalton D'Spain (Texas A&M-Corpus Christi) picked up the win for the Rams while Williams Durruthy (Florida International) took the loss for Glens Falls. Glens Falls struck first in the game, scoring an unearned run in the top of the fourth to take a 1-0 lead. Watertown responded with a six spot in the home half of the inning. June 23, 2014 - WATERTOWN, NY- It was a tale of two different games, one a high-scoring affair and the other a pitcher's duel. The Newark Pilots took on the Watertown Rams at the Alex T. June 19, 2014 - WATERTOWN, NY- The Glens Falls Golden Eagles (5-8) scored two runs in the top of the tenth inning to a take an 8-6 lead, a lead they would hold on to and defeat the Watertown Rams (6-7). Rick Morales (Siena) picked up the win for the Golden Eagles while Ben Wylly (San Diego) took the loss for Watertown. Former Watertown Pitcher Makes Major League Debut

June 2, 2014 - Former Watertown Wizard and right-handed pitcher Shae Simmons made his major league debut for the Atlanta Braves on Saturday, registering a hold and a strikeout in the Braves 9-5 win over the Marlins. Simmons entered the game in the eighth inning with two men on and two out and struck out Jarrod Saltalamacchia on three pitches to end the threat and earn a hold.
