| June 10, 2009 - HIDALGO, TEXAS - The Rio Grande Valley Dorados of arenafootball2 (af2) today were assigned veteran QB Josh Kellett by the af2 office. Kellett spent three seasons with RGV (2005-07) and helped lead the team to the af2 National Conference title game in 2005.

| May 20, 2009 - HIDALGO, TEXAS --- The Rio Grande Valley Dorados of arenafootball2 (af2) today placed veteran WR/LB Travis McAlpine on the injured reserve list.
McAlpine suffered an injury in RGV's 83-56 loss at Stockton on May 16. McAlpine led the team with four interceptions, was fourth in tackles (24.5) and also had a pair of receiving TDs.
