October 18, 2025 - This time, a tough first period was too much for the Brandon Wheat Kings to overcome.
The Wheat Kings battled back after falling down early, but they ran out of time in a 6-4 loss to the Regina Pats. Carter Klippenstein, Joby Baumuller, Caleb Hadland, and Chase Surkan scored in the loss.
"We looked kind of lifeless and it was disappointing for sure," said Wheat Kings head coach and GM Marty Murray. "We were down 3-0 (after the first) again and that's a tough hole to climb out of."

October 16, 2025 - Winning the special teams battle is often a key to winning the game in the WHL, and the Wheat Kings won the special teams battle in a big way in their game against the Kamloops Blazers on Thursday, October 16.
Luke Mistelbacher, Chase Surkan, Gio Pantelas, Joby Baumuller, Caleb Hadland, and Carter Klippenstein all scored and the power play went 3-for-3 as the Wheat Kings took a 6-3 win. Filip Ruzicka stopped 27 of 30 shots thrown his way for his second win.

October 12, 2025 - For the second game in a row, the Wheat Kings didn't surrender very many shots on goal, and fought their way back after surrendering some goals early. This time, however, the final result wasn't there for them.
Luke Mistelbacher scored twice, and Caleb Hadland and Joby Baumuller scored once each, but the Wheat Kings lost 5-4 to the Swift Current Broncos. They outshot the Broncos 45-17 despite the loss.

October 10, 2025 - A much better defensive effort combined with their usual dose of power play offense gave the Wheat Kings the result they deserved against the Vancouver Giants. After a challenging start, they rallied to earn their first win of the season.
Luke Mistelbacher, Nicholas Johnson, Chase Surkan, and Brady Turko all scored, and Filip Ruzicka made 18 saves in the win as the Wheat Kings downed the Giants 4-3.
