Westchester Knicks Acquire Von Wafer

WHITE PLAINS, NY - The Westchester Knicks, the official NBA Development League affiliate of the New York Knickerbockers, announced today the team has acquired forward Von Wafer from the Delaware 87ers in exchange for forward Devondrick Walker.

Wafer (6-5, 210) was selected 39th overall in the 2005 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers. He has played for seven NBA teams (Lakers, Clippers, Nuggets, Trailblazers, Rockets, Celtics, and Magic), three NBA Development League teams (Colorado 14ers/Texas Legends, Bakersfield Jam/Northern Arizona Suns, and Delaware 87ers), and has played overseas in Greece, Italy, China, and Russia. In five games for Delaware this season, Wafer averaged 7.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assists over 22.2 minutes per game.

In 10 games for Westchester this season, Walker (6-5, 205) averaged 10.1 points and 2.1 rebounds over 20.7 minutes per game.

Additionally, the team announced that guard Quincy Douby has left the team to pursue other opportunities.

The Westchester Knicks will face the Texas Legends, the Dallas Mavericks' affiliate, on Friday, Dec. 16 at 8:30 p.m. ET in Frisco, Texas. The game will be broadcast live on MSG Networks and Facebook Live.
