
Vipers Run Away from Skyforce for 122-108 Win

SIOUX FALLS, SD - For the second time in as many nights, the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (20-14) topped the Sioux Falls Skyforce (22-13), earning a 122-108 victory at the Sanford Pentagon on Saturday night.
The Vipers jumped out to an early lead, scoring 42 points in the first quarter and never looked back. Houston Rockets assignee Kyle Wiltjer was hot early on, and helped the Vipers close out the game scoring 27 points and collecting six rebounds in the Vipers win.
After allowing 71 points in the first half, the Skyforce trailed by 15 at the break. Over the course of the second half Sioux Falls was able to cut the lead to as little as seven points, but were never able to come closer as the Vipers once again increased their lead to double digits in the final minutes.
Keith Benson paced the Skyforce offensive attack by tallying 21 points and collecting 10 rebounds, earning his league-leading 22nd double-double on the season. Benson has now recorded a double-double in all five games played during the month of February.
Patrick Miller notched 20 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists, marking the 12th time he's scored 10-or-more points in his last 14 games. Bubu Palo and Ike Nwamu each scored 17, and Jabril Trawick added 18 points off the bench in the loss for Sioux Falls.
Chinanu Onuaku tallied another double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds, while Isaiah Taylor scored 25 points off the bench for Rio Grande Valley. In total, the Vipers saw six players score in double-figures including all five starters.
