Veteran Lineman Lose' Returns to Stockton

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Lightning of the arenafootball2 league announced OL David Lose' (LOW-say) has been assigned to the Lightning by the af2 league office.

In addition, it was announced DL Manuel Wright has been restored to the active roster from the "team suspension" list. DL Maurice Murray has been placed on the "team suspension" list and OL/DL Josh Kline has been placed on the injured reserve list.

Lose' returns to the Lightning for his fourth season with the Lightning after appearing in 13 games with the team last season, playing predominantly on the offensive line while notching two tackles on the defensive side of the ball. In 2007, Lose' anchored an offensive line that helped the Lightning rank 12th in scoring offense (51.9 ppg), sixth in pass offense (265.9 yards per game) and eighth in total offense (4,527 yards).

A member of the Lightning inaugural opening night roster, Lose' helped protect QB Josh Blankenship as a rookie in 2006, who threw for 4,052 yards and 82 touchdowns.

Prior to making his af2 debut in 2004 with the Bakersfield Blitz, the Sacramento, California native attended school and played college football at Oregon State University (NCAA), where he was a letterwinner for Oregon State's 2000 Fiesta Bowl championship team, and earned three letters (2000, 02-03) for a program that went a combined 27-11 and made three bowl game appearances in those three years.

Lose attended and played football at Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento, California, where he was a first-team All-Metro League pick and was named best defensive tackle in the Metro League as a senior.

The Lightning continue a stretch of four home games in five weeks with a Week 9 battle at Stockton Arena against the Boise Burn on Saturday, May 23 at 7:00 p.m. The game can be heard and viewed online, free-of-charge, courtesy of Nifty Online TV at www.niftytv.com/af2.
