
Texas' Pierre Jackson Signs with Dallas Mavericks

FRISCO, TX, (Dec. 27, 2016) - The Dallas Mavericks today signed Texas Legends guard Pierre Jackson for the 6th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2016-17 NBA Development League season.
Jackson (5-11, 180, Baylor) appeared in 10 games for the Legends this season averaging 29.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.9 steals and leading the D-League in scoring. Jackson was acquired by the Legends in March via a trade with the Idaho Stampede and joined the team in late November.
Jackson was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2013 NBA Draft (42nd overall) by the Philadelphia 76ers. As a rookie, Jackson played 31 games with the Stampede averaging 29.1 points, 3.6 rebounds, 6.2 assists, and 1.9 steals, setting a single-game scoring record for the D-League and earning a spot in the All-Star Game.
