
Texas' Gary Neal Signs with Atlanta

FRISCO, TX- The Atlanta Hawks today signed Texas Legends guard Gary Neal for the 11th GATORADE Call-Up of the 2016-17 NBA Development League season.
Neal (6-4, 210, Towson) appeared in two games for the Legends averaging 21 points, 3 rebounds, and 4 assists. Neal was acquired by the Legends via a trade with the Westchester Knicks at the end of December.
Neal has six years of NBA experience playing 40 games with the Washington Wizards last season. In 350 career games Neal has averaged 9.9 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 21.4 minutes per game. Neal went undrafted but joined the San Antonio Spurs for 80 games his rookie season where he averaged 9.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 assists and was named to the NBA All-Rookie First Team and the Rising Stars Challenge of NBA All-Star Weekend.
