Rancho Cucamonga, CA - Los Temblores de Rancho Cucamonga rallied from a run down, scoring three runs in the sixth inning to avoid the sweep by the 66ers in a 4-1 victory on Sunday afternoon.

The Quakes, playing under the identity of Los Temblores de Racho Cucamonga as part of the "Copa de la Diversion", benefited from a costly 66ers' error, which allowed the go-ahead run to score. The win puts Rancho in a tie for second place in the South Division with Inland Empire, two games back of Lake Elsinore with seven games left in the first-half schedule.

Trailing by a run with the bases loaded in the sixth, Connor Wong was plunked by a pitch, scoring Rylan Bannon and tying the game at 1-1. With the bases still full, Cody Thomas saw a ground ball sneak under the glove of first baseman David MacKinnon, a miscue that put Rancho on top 3-1.

Logan Landon added insurance in the eighth by walking and scoring on three wild pitches from reliever Dustin Hunt, swelling the lead to 4-1.

Dustin May delivered a strong outing for Los Temblores allowing an unearned run in the fourth, but cruising through the fifth while striking out eight. After a scoreless sixth inning of relief, Logan Salow (1-1) was positioned for his first win of the year as Rancho jumped ahead in the home half.

Marshall Kasowski entered on to retire the final four batters, two via strikeout and securing his first save of the year.

Receiving the loss from Inland Empire was reliever Zac Ryan (3-1), who surrendered the lead in the sixth inning.

Los Temblores finish the first-half schedule on a seven-game road trip, beginning with a four-game series in Lake Elsinore on Monday. Right-hander Tony Gonsolin (3-2) is scheduled to make the start for Rancho and be opposed by Michel Baez (2-5) of Lake Elsinore. First pitch is set for 6:00 PM.

The Quakes return to Rancho Cucamonga on Thursday, June 21st hosting the San Jose Giants for the first time on the season. Fans can enjoy Thirsty Thursday at the ballpark thanks to Tropical Smoothie Café with tickets available online at rcquakes.com or by calling (909) 481-5000.
