Tarpley Earns FSL Pitcher of the Week Honors

Bradenton, Fla. - Bradenton Marauders starting pitcher Stephen Tarpley has been named the Florida State League Pitcher of the Week for the week of June 20-June 26. The left-handed hurler is Bradenton's third Pitcher of the Week in 2016.
Tarpley went 2-0 and struck out 12 batters in a pair of six-inning outings. Jupiter and Charlotte combined for just five hits and one run against the southpaw. Tarpley helped the Marauders clinch the first half South Division title with six scoreless innings against the Hammerheads on June 20.
Overall for the season, Tarpley is 3-1 with a 3.40 ERA. Opponents are batting .226 against him. Tarpley was a South Atlantic League Mid-Season All Star in 2015 with the West Virginia Power.
Tarpley is 23 years old and resides in Gilbert, Arizona. He is in his fourth season of professional baseball.
