Talons Linebacker Honored With Highlight Of The Week
June 29, 2010 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Tulsa Talons News Release
Talons' linebacker Jamar Ransom was recognized by the AFL today with the Spalding highlight of the week. Ransom intercepted Cleveland quarterback John Dutton just before halftime of last Saturday's game and raced 43 yards for a touchdown to give the Talons their 1st lead of the game. It was a lead the Talons would never relinquish as they went on to defeat the Gladiators 65-44.
The interception was the turning point in what had been a closely contested affair. It was Ransom's fourth interception of the season to go along with four unassisted tackles giving the speedy linebacker 74 tackles on the year.
The Talons have a bye this week, but return to the BOK Center Saturday, July 10th to take on divisional rival, the Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings at 7pm. It is tackle cancer night with a portion of some ticket sales raised being donated to help fight cancer.
