Storm Get Redemption Against Titans

Sioux Falls, SD ?- The Sioux Falls Storm won their fifth game of the season against the Cedar Rapids Titans with a 62-49 victory. The two teams traded shots throughout the game but the Storm would ultimately prevail.

The Titans would be the first to strike after a 46-yard pass by Dylan Favre to Jared Elmore increasing the score to 7-0. Korey Williams would help cut the lead to 7-7 after a ten-yard pass from Lorenzo Brown. Storm's newcomer Caleb Holley would connect with quarterback Lorenzo Brown on a 14-yard touchdown to increase their lead to 13-7. The Titans would score again after Dylan Favre ran in a 10-yard touchdown. Ending the first quarter at a close 13-13 ball game.

Starting the second quarter, the Storm would strike first with a two-yard run by Lorenzo Brown, bringing the score to 20-13. The Titans would score after Waymon James ran in a four-yard touchdown, tying the game again at 20-20. Lorenzo Brown and Caleb Holley would connect on a 16-yard touchdown pass, bringing the Storm on top 27-20. The Storm's momentum continued as Korey Williams scored a 50-yard punt return for a touchdown bringing the score to 34-20 with 4:25 remaining in the half. Ryan Balentine would be the next to score after a five-yard pass from Favre for the touchdown. Nichola Belcher kicked a 38-yard field goal ending the half with a score of 34-30.

The Storm was the first to score in the second half, with a 17-yard run by Angelo Pease, increasing the lead to 41-30. The Titans couldn't get out of the endzone after kick off when Elijah Fields attacked for the rouge point, making the score 42-30. Dylan Favre would hit Jared Elmore with a 45-yard touchdown pass to advance the score to 42-37. Sioux Falls would answer back when Lorenzo Brown scored on the next drive after a 16 yard run, bringing the score to 48-37. Dylan Favre connected with Ryan Balentine after a 23-yard pass advancing the score to 48-43. Korey Williams increased the Storm's lead after an eight-yard pass from Lorenzo Brown ending the third quarter with an exciting 55-43 ballgame.

In the fourth quarter, Caleb Holley started the scoring after a 23-yard pass from Lorenzo Brown increasing the score to 62-43. Waymon James ran it in for a one-yard touchdown, bringing the final score to 62-49.

Storm quarterback, Lorenzo Brown finished the game with 138 yards and five touchdowns, as well as 70 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Running Back, Angelo Pease, rushed for 31 yards and scored one touchdown. Wide Receiver, Caleb Holley had 65 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Wide receiver Korey Williams had 59 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

The Storm improves to 5-1 on the season while the Titans falls to 4-3. The Storm returns to action Saturday, April 16th when the Storm will face the Wichita Falls Nighthawks at the Storm Shelter. Kickoff is set for 7:05 p.m.
