Peoria Rough Riders Head Coach/ Director of Football Operations Chuck Goodwin is proud to announce the signing of Defensive End Jonathan "JJ" Jones and Wide Receiver Levi Adams Jr. for the 2006 season.
Jonathan "JJ" Jones comes to the Rough Riders out of Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. In Jones' senior season with the Broncos he collected 3 ½ sacks, 12 QB hurries, 2 forced fumbles, and 62 tackles. Prior to going to Western Michigan, Jones attended William Rainey Harper Junior College in Palatine, IL and Bakersfield College in Bakersfield, CA. JJ earned workouts with the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Cleveland Browns following his senior season.
Most recently Jones has been playing semi pro football with the Chicago based Force of Illinois. He finished the 2005 regular season with 9 quarterback sacks, 5 QB hurries, and 42 tackles.
Levi Adams Jr., a 6'1" 196 lbs. Wide receiver, played collegiate football for the Huskies of Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois. Most recently Adams has played semi pro ball in the Chicagoland area with the Illinois Force.
