Rosemont to Hold Open House for New Dome on Saturday
ROSEMONT - The Village of Rosemont continues to impress with its construction projects and Saturday's open house for The Dome at The Ballpark will be no different.
Owned and operated by the Village, the Dome at Rosemont promises to become a destination for baseball and softball players of all ages. Beginning as early as Thanksgiving weekend, the Village plans on hosting tournaments, leagues and individual games for youth baseball and softball teams. The two fields are also available to rent for practices.
In addition to the youth events, the Village and Dome staff is also working on several 12" and 16" softball tournaments that will be held in the facility during the winter months.
The dome is 140,000 square feet and has a ceiling height of 75 feet. The two diamonds will be suitable for all ages of girls fastpitch softball and boys baseball ages 12U and under. There will also be a training area complete with multiple batting tunnels and a concession area.
The dome is located next door to The Ballpark at Rosemont and is just a short drive away from several Bandits sponsors, including the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, RAM Restaurant and Brewery and Five Roses Pub.
