RICHMOND, VA (May 19, 2015) - The Richmond Raiders (4-4) return to action at the Richmond Coliseum this Saturday as they take on the Trenton Freedom (4-3). This game is a must-win situation for the Raiders, as they have split with the Freedom in their previous two games this season.

In their first game during week one of the season, the Freedom defeated the Raiders in Trenton with a score of 41-33. The game was a hard-fought defensive battle, and at half time, the score was just 18-13. However, after trading scores, the Freedom would go on to win after scoring two late-game touchdowns.

Then in week five, Trenton traveled to Richmond, where the Raiders beat them in a barnburner, 52-50. The Raiders initially let Trenton jump out to an early 22-7 lead, but a huge second quarter would give them a 31-29 cushion going into half time. Richmond's defense came up with big plays when needed, recording six sacks for a loss of 24 total yards, forced two fumbles, and returned a fumble for a touchdown.

The Raiders are coming off of a bye week, which has allowed them to rest and work on tweaking any necessary items as they have now crossed the midway point of the season. So far this season, Richmond's offense has impressively scored the most number of points in the league with 444.

Trenton travels to Richmond after a road victory against the Erie Explosion this past Saturday, winning 50-47. A 21-point fourth quarter helped the Freedom come from behind to a victory.

Saturday night is McDonald's Night - Lovin' RVA. The Raiders will also honor military members at the Memorial Day Weekend game with a red, white, and blue salute. Six hundred servicemen and servicewomen will be in attendance from Fort Lee through a ticket donation. Special ticket values include the Summer Special, which offers great lower bowl seats for just $9. Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
