Red Dogs vs. Warriors May 22nd

May 20, 2004 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Black Hills Red Dogs News Release

The Black Hills Red Dogs of the National Indoor Football League, NIFL, would like to announce that the Karuz Stomp musical group will be performing this Saturday, May 22nd, during the halftime show. Many Red Dogs fans may remember Stomp from their spectacular halftime appearance in 2002.

This Saturday the Red Dogs will take on the Utah Warriors in a divisional rivalry competition. Last year the Red Dogs split the series with the Warriors with both teams winning at their respective home venues, and both by 6 points. The Red Dogs lost in Utah earlier this season by 3 points. Having played such a close competitive game and having lost has weighed heavily on the minds of the Red Dogs, who will be playing for revenge this week as well as for pride. All three games that these two teams have played have come down to the very last play of the game.

The Red Dogs are coming off of a dominating win (35-14) over the Wyoming Cavalry this past weekend, while Utah lost at home to Omaha 27-17. This is the second game of the Red Dogs three game home stand, with a bye week coming up next. The Red Dogs are marching to .500 one game at a time, and are looking forward to spoiling a few teams playoff hopes while still clinging to their own mathematical chances of reaching the post-season.

The Black Hills Red Dogs are in their fourth season in the NIFL and will play their next home game on Saturday, May 22nd against the Utah Warriors. Gates open at 6pm for the contest, which will kick-off at approximately 7:05pm. All home games are played in the Don Barnett Arena in the Rushmore Plaza Civic Center and tickets are available through the Civic Center Box Office call 394-4111 or 1-800-GOT-MINE.
