Rancho Cucamonga Quakes News Release

San Jose, CA - Despite two more home runs from Carlos Rincon, the Quakes dropped the final game of the road trip, as the Giants downed the Quakes on Wednesday afternoon by a final of 8-4.

Isaac Anderson got touched for five runs in just 4.1 innings of work, as Rancho finished the road trip at 1-5, but still returns home on Friday with the league's best overall record.

Rincon was awesome for a third straight day, as he slugged two more solo homers and finished the game with three hits. His series included five homers, after hitting just seven in Great Lakes over 81 games for the Loons.

Rancho pulled to within a run at 5-4, thanks to the Rincon damage, as well as solo homers from both Brandon Montgomery (2) and Steve Berman (4).

San Jose ripped a pair of homers in the seventh though, as reliever Dan Jagiello gave up three total runs over just one inning to allow the Giants to take an 8-4 lead.

Anderson (7-6) was tagged with the loss, while San Jose starter DJ Myers (4-3) allowed just two runs over five innings in the win.

Rancho (68-49, 33-14) returns home on Friday, hosting Lancaster for a three-game series. Wills Montgomerie (0-1) takes on Antonio Santos of Lancaster in the opener.

Friday is Walker Buehler Bobblehead Giveaway, thanks to Allstar Kia, as 1,500 fans will take home a bobblehead. Game time is 7:05pm and gates open at 6:05pm. Tickets to the game are also available online at rcquakes.com or by calling (909) 481-5000. Go Quakes!
