MAVERICKS ASSIGN A.J. HAMMONS AND NICOLAS BRUSSINO TO THE TEXAS LEGENDS
*DALLAS - *The Dallas Mavericks announced today that they have assigned center A.J. Hammons and guard-forward Nicolas Brussino to the Texas Legends of the NBA Development League.
Hammons (7-0, 250) has appeared in 17 games for the Mavericks this season, averaging 1.4 points and 1.2 rebounds in 4.5 minutes. He has made four of his first six career 3-point attempts (4-of-6, .667). He is averaging 10.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks and 23.9 minutes in eight games (seven starts) for the Legends this year.
Brussino (6-8, 195) has played in 30 games for Dallas this season, averaging 1.6 points and 1.3 rebounds in 7.3 minutes. He has played in three games for the Legends and holds D-League averages of 16.0 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 34.5 minutes per game.
Hammons and Brussino will be available tonight when the Legends take on the Austin Spurs at 7:30 pm at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco.
