
Legends Get Revenge in Front of Sold-Out Home Crowd

FRISCO, TX, (Nov. 26, 2016) - The Texas Legends (2-3) answered a 29-point loss to the Salt Lake City Stars (1-6) on Wednesday with a 33-point victory Saturday in Frisco. Behind a combined 48-point effort from Manny Harris and Jameel Warney the Legends dominated in front of a sold-out home crowd 117-84.
The Stars took off with the first lead of the night on a slam from Jeremy Williams. The Legends evened the score four times but couldn't catch the lead until the two minute mark in the first. With a 6-0 run to finish the quarter, the Legends held a nine-point advantage at the buzzer. Another streak in the second would put the home team up 18 but the visitors seemed to answer every basket. Both teams went into halftime below 50% shooting, but the Legends held onto a 54-42 lead.
Harris came out of the locker room firing and finished the third with 10 points to widen the Legends' gap. Texas finished with a 53% completion in the second half and held the visitors to 42 total points. Texas out-rebounded Salt Lake City 47-43 but also dished out 26 assists and grabbed 14 steals to the Stars' 15 assists, 5 steals. The Legends finished with 18 second-chance points and 26 fast break points, more than doubling the Stars' numbers.
Harris grabbed his second double-double of the season with 24 points, 10 rebounds and Warney added 24 points, 9 boards. Patrick Miller finished with 17 points and a team-high 5 assists while CJ Williams added 13 points and led the team with 3 blocks.
Salt Lake City had three players in double-digits with Sundiata Gaines leading all with 19 points while Henry Sims added 15 points and 10 rebounds. JJ O'Brien went 5-of-9 for 12 points.
