BAKERSFIELD, CA - The Bakersfield Jam announced today that they have acquired center Sam Coleman from the available player pool.

"Due to the roster changes that have recently taken place, the timing was right to bring Sam back to the Jam," said Bakersfield Jam General Manager Bubba Burrage. "It was a unanimous decision and we are really glad he's back with us."

Coleman (6-10, 220, Coppin State) was a member of this year's Jam training camp and appeared in Bakersfield's lone preseason game before being waived prior to the start of the regular season. Last season, he played in 19 games for the KK Mornar of Montenegro and averaged 12.0 points and 7.5 rebounds in 21.7 minutes per contest. He's also played professionally in Mexico.

During the 2011-12 season, Coleman appeared in 13 games for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers and posted averages of 8.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.1 blocks in 16.9 minutes per game.

Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, Coleman played two seasons at Coppin State and in 52 total games he averaged 7.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 23.7 minutes per contest.
