
Gallant Tops Among Eight Petes Players and Prospects Listed on NHL Central Scouting Final Rankings

Peterborough, ON- The NHL Central Scouting Service released its final rankings ahead of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. Three Petes players, including Zach Gallant, Nick Isaacson, and Cole Fraser were named to the list along with five Petes prospects.
Gallant finished the season with a ranking of 64th among North American Skaters. The 6'1", 184lbs centre from Oakville had a breakout season, recording 21 goals and 26 assists for 47 points and a +4 rating in 60 games played. Gallant was named the OHL Player of the Month in December, and was voted as the best faceoff taker in the Eastern Conference in the OHL Coaches' Poll. He was ranked 71st among North American skaters in the NHL CSS mid-term rankings.
Isaacson earned a ranking of 148th (mid-term ranking: 168th), and Fraser came in a 197th (mid-term ranking: 206th), improving their stock through the second half of the season.
Also ranked were five Petes prospects, including Cameron Crotty (Brockville, CCHL - 89th), Bryce Misley (Oakville, OJHL - 85th), Bobby Dow (Kemptville, CCHL - 122nd), Logan Cockerill (USA U-18, NTDP - 214th), and Logan Hutsko (USA U-18, NTDP - limited viewing).
The 2017 NHL Entry Draft takes place in Chicago, Illinois, on June 23-24 at the United Centre. Peterborough's roster currently features eight players selected in previous NHL Entry Drafts, including Kyle Jenkins and Steve Lorentz (Carolina), Jonne Tammela, Matt Spencer and Chris Paquette (Tampa Bay), Jonathan Ang (Florida), Nikita Korostelev (Toronto), and Dylan Wells (Edmonton).
