Fairbanks Grizzlies Stiffen Defense

The Fairbanks Grizzlies are pleased to announce the signing of Defensive Back Patrick Nicks from Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas. Nicks, a native of Las Vegas, NV, transferred to Harding from Eastern Arizona Junior College. As a senior at Harding, the 5'10 200 Nicks started at corner and finished the season with 31 total tackles, 3 interceptions, 9 pass break ups, and 12 passes defended. Nicks also returned kicks for the Bison finishing with 14 returns for 259 yards. Last season Patrick played in the IFL for the Arkansas Diamonds before finishing the season with the Sioux City Bandits.

"Patrick is an interesting prospect who has indoor experience and shown he has the potential to be a play maker in the secondary. We feel he can excel in our system and he is another guy that has great character and will fit in very well," stated Fairbanks Grizzlies Head Coach Robert Fuller.
