January 13, 2011. Fairbanks, AK. The Fairbanks Grizzlies Indoor Professional Football Team is pleased to announce the date for an open tryout to be held in Fairbanks. A tryout is to be held Sunday February 6th starting at 8 a.m. at the Patty Center located on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. There will be a registration fee of $40 for each participant who will recieve a Fairbanks Grizzlies t-shirt. Minimum age requirement is 18 years. All players should bring workout clothing and shoes suitable for a gym floor. All interested persons can register in advance by stopping by the Fairbanks Grizzlies Office at 819 1st Avenue Suite B, Fairbanks AK. "We are looking forward to seeing our 'in state' talent and giving them an opportunity to be evaluated. Being from Alaska I know that between Fairbanks and Anchorage there are some very talented athletes that could help our football team." Stated Head Coach Robert Fuller.
The Fairbanks Grizzlies are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL). The 2011 season kicks off in February. Season tickets for the Grizzlies 2011 season are available for purchase for as low as $19 a month. Call (907) 452-5123 for details.
