
Dorados Assigned Eight Players

HIDALGO, TEXAS --- The Rio Grande Valley Dorados of arenafootball2 today announced that eight players have been assigned to the 2009 training camp roster by the league office.
Among the assignees are Ramonce Taylor, a receiver who was a member of the University of Texas Longhorns and scored 15 TD's during the team's 2005 National Championship season. The 5-foot-11, 199-pound Belton, Texas, native also played one season at Texas College.
Also assigned was OL/DL Tyler Matia, a New Zealand product who played in 12 games for RGV last season and registered three tackles and one fumble recovery. The 6-foot-2, 330-pounder also rushed for 20 yards on six carries.
The Dorados return to the Dodge Arena in April, 2009, for their sixth season of af2 action. The team's home opener is on Saturday, April 18, vs. Bossier-Shreveport. The regular season begins on the road on Saturday, March 28 at Corpus Christi.
