Diesel vs. Beef â Round 2
May 6, 2004 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL)
Tri-City Diesel News Release
Kearney, NE â The second round of the Tri-City Diesel vs. Omaha Beef is set for this Saturday, May 8th at 7:05 in Omaha's Civic Auditorium. This game will be the second meeting of the two teams this year, with the previous game going to the Diesel, 41-30, at the Diesel Dome. However this might be the toughest game of the two for the Diesel because the Beef are 4-0 in the "Slaughterhouse." "Playing in the Slaughterhouse is a great football environment and we are going to have to play mistake free football to win," said Diesel Head Coach, Robert Fuller.
The Diesel is coming off an impressive victory last weekend by beating the Sioux City Bandits, 68-44. The Beef had a bye week last week so they will be coming into the game on a fresh set of legs. "We still consider the Beef the top team in the NIFL, they have a great advantage playing at home and coming off a Bye week with two weeks to prepare for us," added Coach Fuller.
