Evansville BlueCats News Release
The Evansville Bluecats have added offensive lineman Brandon Kukla from LaPorte, Indiana to their roster. The 6'4", 295-pound Kukla was a four-year starter at St. Xavier University where he earned NAIA All-American Honorable Mention honors in the 2003 season. Kukla helped lead the Cougars to their first-ever Mid-States Football Association /Midwest League Championship during his senior season. The team also broke school records for points, rushing touchdowns, first downs and allowed only 9 sacks en route to a 9-3 record.
Brandon will look to add some depth to the Bluecats' "Big Fish" offensive line. The unit is one of the best in the NIFL having only given up 2 sacks in the first 5 games and having the #6 rushing offense in the league.
Kukla and the Bluecats will head to St. Charles, Missouri this Saturday to face the Atlantic North Division leading Show-Me Believers as they look to avenge an early-season loss. The game can be heard on GOLD WYNG 95 (94.9 FM) with the pre-game beginning at 7:00 PM and the kickoff set at 7:30 PM.
