Lexington County, SC-- The Lexington County Blowfish hosted their third monthly luncheon of 2018 at the Stadium Club at Lexington County Baseball Stadium. This is a series of luncheons sharing exciting news of what's happening for the upcoming season, player roster updates as well as featured guests from Lexington County Chambers to share their vision for their Lexington County communities.

The Blowfish are excited to announce the return to the team, infielder Jared Williams/University of North Greenville, a Gilbert High alum and the veteran leader of the 2018 squad. Jared's picture is on the 2018 Blowfish pocket schedules which will be distributed throughout Lexington County! More exciting news include the return of USC Gamecock Pitcher TJ Shook along with USC pitchers Parker Coyne and Cam Tringali. You can check out all the 2018 signed Blowfish players.

OPENING NIGHT WE CELEBRATE RED,WHITE & BLUE WITH A DALE EARNHARDT REPLICA SIGNATURE SERIES '96 MONTIE CARLO ON DISPLAY

Promotions are an important part of what the Blowfish provide at the ballpark. This season we celebrate the "Season of the Stars and Stripes" with a plethora of patriotic nights including the Independence Fireworks shows, Fort Jackson Night and honoring Lexington County military families each home game. We are excited to announce that Opening Night Thursday May 31st a 1996 Dale Earnhardt signatures series Montie Carlo, a replica of Dale Earnhardt's Winston Cup Select race car designed in honor of the 96 Summer Olympics held in Atlanta will be on display at Lexington County Baseball Stadium. This car let the parade lap at Bristol Motor Speedway, was isplayed at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, and was driven in an Olympic parade. Dale Earnhardt raced his car at Charlotte Motor Speedway on May 18, 1996. Only two replicas were produced by Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet in Newton, North Carolina.

CPL ALL-STAR SHOW INCLUDES A SPECIAL EXHIBITION SOFTBALL GAME FOR SPECIAL NEEDS ATHLETES

The Blowfish are hosting the 2018 Coastal Plain League Show July 8th and 9th at Lexington County Baseball Stadium. One of the unique and special events to be held on Monday July 9th will be Special Needs Athletes presented by the Screaming Eagles will play a two inning exhibition softball game with the CPL All-Stars immediately before the CPL All-Star Game. What an exciting event for these athletes! The Screaming Eagles is organized as a non-profit 501c3 and is open to special needs athletes of all ages and abilities.

Cristina Chappell, Executive Director of the Chapin Chamber of Commerce was our featured guest and shared all about the exciting happenings in Chapin. In addition, Christina announced that the Chapin Chamber Board will be making a donation to the Screaming Eagles!

SEASON OF THE STARS AND STRIPES

2018 will be a very colorful, star-studded and patriotic theme that will dominate the summer at Lexington County Baseball Stadium.

"We've proclaimed 2018-The Season of the Stars and...Stripes! Lexington County was awarded the Coastal Plain League All-Star Show and we look to showcase the Youth Baseball Capital of the USA," Co-owner Bill Shanahan said. "We'll also be honoring all our Armed Forces services during the season, including our annual Ft Jackson Night".
