D-Fenders Finalize Training Camp Roster and Schedule

EL SEGUNDO - The Los Angeles D-Fenders have finalized the team's training camp roster and schedule, following the conclusion of the 2016 NBA D-League Draft on Sunday.

The 17-man roster includes the additions of Julian Jacobs and Travis Wear as affiliate players from the Los Angeles Lakers, six returners from a 2015-16 Western Conference championship squad, four selections from the six-round draft, two players that were acquired through draft-day trades and three local tryout athletes.

Following the conclusion of the draft, the D-Fenders traded Jamal Branch and Anthony January to Reno in exchange for David Nwaba, Kourtlin Jackson, and the returning player rights to David Wear. The move is pending the successful completion of physicals.

The D-Fenders training camp roster (attached) stands at 17.

Additionally, the D-Fenders franchise has announced the schedule for its 2016 training camp that is set to begin on Wednesday, November 2, continuing through Wednesday, November 9. All practices will be held at the team's Toyota Sports Center headquarters (555 N. Nash St., El Segundo, CA 90245).

Media availability will take place following the conclusion of each practice session, unless otherwise noted. Media members planning to attend a practice session should make prior arrangements with T.C. Greene (tgreene@d-fenders.com) of the Los Angeles D-Fenders Public Relations Department. Los Angeles will open the regular season against the Iowa Energy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, November 11, from the Toyota Sports Center, when the 2016-17 NBA D-League season kicks off with a record 22 teams.
