
Barons Place Infielder Jake Peter on the Disabled List

MOBILE, Ala. - The Chicago White Sox and Birmingham Barons announced before the game today that the team has placed infielder Jake Peter on the 7-Day Disabled List, retroactive to May 25th. There will be no corresponding move, keeping the active roster at 24.
Peter, 24, was hitting .230 (34-for-148), with three home runs and nine RBIs in 39 games so far this season in Birmingham. The seventh round pick of the White Sox in 2014 was a 2016 Mid-Season Southern League All-Star for the Barons. Peter split 2016 between Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte, hitting a combined .283 with six home runs and 53 RBIs.
The Barons will continue their series in Mobile against the BayBears tonight at 7:05 p.m. CT. Left-hander Jordan Guerrero will be on the mound for Birmingham, while righty Grayson Long will take the ball for Mobile.
