
Norman Powell records team season-high 30 points to lead Raptors 905 to fifth victory

Raptors 905 guard Norman Powell scored a team season-high 30 points to lead the Mississauga club to a 105-94 victory over the Delaware 87ers Sunday afternoon at Hershey Centre.
It was a close game the entire afternoon, with five lead changes and seven ties throughout the contest. Raptors 905's biggest lead on the afternoon was 12 points, while Delaware never led by more than four. Raptors 905 led 31-23 after the first quarter and 53-48 at halftime. The Mississauga club outscored the 87ers by four in the third quarter and two in the final period to secure its fifth win of the season.
In addition to Powell's game-high 30 points, Raptors 905 was also led offensively with double-digit point totals by Scott Suggs (game-high 21 off the bench), Ronald Roberts Jr. (16) and Anthony Bennett (13). Roberts Jr. added 16 rebounds to complete Raptors 905's only double-double on the day, while Shannon Scott contributed game highs in assists (eight) and steals (four).
Delaware had double-digit points from Jordan McRae (22), Christian Wood (21), Sean Kilpatrick (14), Gary Talton (13) and John Bohannon (10). Wood also had a game-high 20 rebounds.
Raptors 905 led Delaware in field goal percentage (46.5-40.7), free throw percentage (77.8-66.7) and points in the paint (62-44), while the 87ers held the advantage in three point percentage (26.7-18.2). The teams tied in second-chance points and fast-break points with 14 apiece in both categories.
Raptors 905 is back in action Tuesday, December 22 when the club visits the Sioux Falls Skyforce at 7:30 p.m. ET.
