Smokies-Wahoos Series Finale Rained Out

KODAK - The Tennessee Smokies' scheduled series finale against the Pensacola Blue Wahoos on Sunday afternoon has been postponed due to rain. A makeup date for the contest has not yet been determined, however, the Smokies are slated to play a five-game series in Pensacola next month between May 5-9.

Fans with ticket's for today's scheduled contest may redeem their tickets for any remaining 2015 Smokies home game. The club's full rainout policy can be found online at www.smokiesbaseball.com.

The Smokies will now travel to Jackson, Tennessee, to begin a five-game series with the Jackson Generals, the Double-A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners. First game of that series is set for Monday, April 20, with first pitch scheduled for 8:05 p.m. ET at The Ballpark in Jackson. Starting pitchers for the opening game of the series have not yet been determined.

Following that five-game set, Tennessee will return home to Smokies Stadium to begin a five-game set with the Chattanooga Lookouts, the Double-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, with the opening game of the series scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m. ET on Saturday, April 25. It's the second Giveaway Saturday of the season, with the first 1,000 kids 12 and under receiving a Smokies Superhero Cape as part of Superhero Night. Both Green Arrow and The Flash are scheduled to be on hand to pose for pictures, and perhaps even show off their first pitch skills.

Tickets for that contest and the remainder of the Smokies' home schedule are still available, and can be purchased online at smokiesbaseball.com, or by calling the Smokies Ticket Office at 865-286-2300. Multi-game voucher packs and season tickets can also still be purchased online or by phone.
