Cleveland Charge News Release
The Canton Charge (13-13), presented by SecureData 365 and powered by the Cleveland Cavaliers, fell on the road, 109-101, to the Oklahoma City Blue (15-10) on Friday night. Canton has dropped their last five games.
Oklahoma City led by as many as 33 and for entire duration of the final three quarters after pulling ahead 23-22 with 0.3 left in the first on a Talib Zanna layup. Seven Blue players scored in double-figures, as they hit 42-of-79 shots as a team (53%) and assisted on 24 field goals. Oklahoma City takes the lone matchup between the two teams for this season,
Arinze Onuaku had has 11-game double-double streak snapped, as he finished with 18 points on 9-of-13 shooting with eight rebounds in 31 minutes. Alex Kirk scored five points, grabbed 11 boards and swatted two blocks in 38 minutes. Justin Johnson scored 18 points in 27 minutes. The Charge bench outscored the Blue reserves, 53-37.
Grant Jerrett paced the Blue with a game-high 20 points and six rebounds in 31 minutes. Semaj Chiston netted 17 points and dished seven assists in 33 minutes. Mario Little scored 12 points, grabbed eight rebounds and nabbed two steals in 35 minutes.
