
2014 Southern League All-Star Game Will Feature the ZOOperstars, BirdZerk and Fireworks

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - Today the Chattanooga Lookouts have announced exciting additions to their 2014 Southern League All-Star Game lineup. Along with watching the stars of tomorrow, fans will be treated to performances by the ZOOperstars! and BirdZerk! on June 17 at 7:15 p.m. Punctuating the festivities will be the most extravagant and scintillating fireworks show of the season!
"Being able to welcome back two fan-favorite acts to the ballpark for the All-Star Game is a great way to celebrate this marquee event in Chattanooga," said President and General Manager Rich Mozingo. "We are also thrilled to be able to have a spectacular fireworks show cap off the week."
The zany costumed characters the ZOOperstars! will be making their second appearance at AT&T Field this season after making their 2014 debut on April 5. Joining the ZOOperstars! cast will be "America's Ballpark Prankster" BirdZerk! BirdZerk! will be bringing his comedic and outrageous antics to Chattanooga for the first time this year.
Lighting up the sky to conclude the 2014 Southern League All-Star Celebration will be a Fireworks show fans won't want to miss. Tickets for this showcase of the Southern League's top talent and entertainment are available now at lookouts.com, by calling 423-267-4TIX or by visiting the Lookouts' Box Office Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
About the All-Star Game : The 38th annual Southern League All-Star Game will take place on Tuesday, June 17 at 7:15 p.m. with gates opening at 5:00 p.m. This is the first time the Lookouts have hosted the event since 2004.
This year's midsummer classic is just the centerpiece of a two day event that also includes the Home Run Derby which will be held at Historic Engel Stadium on Monday, June 16 at 7:00 p.m. with gates opening at 5:00 p.m. Prior to the Home Run Derby the Lookouts will also host a Fan Fest at Engel Stadium that will feature an autograph session from the North and South Division All-Stars.
Along with the All-Star Game, the team will hold a luncheon to recognize the All-Stars, coaches, managers and umpires. This special event will include a guest speaker and be open to the public. The luncheon will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17 at the Chattanooga Convention Center and feature former NL MVP Maury Wills as the guest speaker. All proceeds from the luncheon will benefit the RBI Program of Chattanooga.
