
Biscuits Allow Four Home Runs in a 13-2 Loss

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Biscuits (30-31) allowed four home runs in a 13-2 series-opening loss to the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (26-35) on Thursday night at Riverwalk Stadium.
The Wahoos' first blast came with Pensacola already leading 7-0 in the sixth inning. Travis Mattair hit a two run home run. Two batters later, Juan Duran hit a ball of the batter's eye in center to make it an 11-0 nothing game. The sixth inning was the first of two multi-home run innings for Pensacola. Juan Silverio went back-to-back with Duran in the eighth inning to make it a 13-2 game.
The Wahoos jumped out to a 6-0 with two runs in the second inning then four in the third. Ray Chang picked up his fourth RBI of the night with a sac fly in the fifth to make it 7-0.
The Biscuits scored with an Alejandro Segovia RBI-double in the sixth and a long solo home run from Jeremy Moore in the seventh.
The bottom three in the Wahoos' order - Duran, Chang and Chris Berset - went 8-for-12 with seven RBI and seven runs scored.
Game two of the series is Friday night at 7:05. RH Victor Mateo will throw against the Cincinnati Reds' top prospect, RH Robert Stephenson.
