BINGHAMTON, NY - Tonight at their 6:35 PM game the Binghamton Mets will be proud to host Pat O'Conner, the President of Minor League Baseball, as he pays a visit to the Southern Tier. Elected president & CEO of MiLB in 2008, O'Conner enters his seventh season leading the organization that covers four countries, includes 15 leagues and totals 176 teams.

O'Conner was selected as the 11th president in MiLB's 114-year history in January 2008 after spending 15-years as the organization's Chief Operating Officer. He was re-elected to a second term in December 2011.

In his time as President he extended the Professional Baseball Agreement with Minor League Baseball through 2020, realigned two Single-A leagues, secured an organization-wide bundling of internet rights, signed a five-year collective bargaining agreement with the Association of Minor League Umpires through 2016, trumpeted an industry-wide health care program and encouraged teams and stadiums to become more eco-friendly.

The B-Mets (7-4) open a three-game series against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats tonight at 6:35 PM. RHP Matt Bowman takes the mound against RHP Scott Copeland. The Horizons Federal Credit Union Pregame Show begins at 6:20 PM on Newsradio 1290 AM WNBF.
