The Baltimore Blast enter the MISL championship series matched against the number three seed, Missouri Comets. The play-off which begins Friday in Missouri is a best of three series. Game 2 is in Baltimore on Sunday March 16th at 5:05pm. If each team wins a game, game 3 will be played immediately after game 2 on Sunday. The length of game 3 is 15 minutes. The Blast have played the Comets 2 times this year and have a 2-0 record in these games.
Regular Season Wrap Up:
The Blast finished the regular season in first place with a 17-3 record. Baltimore scored 309 points this season while only allowing 101 points against them. Offensively, the Blast finished 3rd in the league in total points. The following are the offensive leaders for Baltimore this season:

Defensively, the Blast had a record setting season allowing only 101 points. William Vanzela led the league with a 5.57 points against average. Mike Lookingland (33) and Pat Healey (31) were 1st and 2nd in the league in blocks. J.T. Noone was third on the team in blocks with 15. The Blast also finished 1st in the league in power play defense with 80%.
Syracuse Series Recap:
Baltimore took care of business in game one of the series winning on the road 20-7. Adauto Neto led the Blast with 2 goals and 2 assists. In Baltimore the Silver Knights were able to win game 2 of the series by a score of 9-6. Tony Donatelli scored two goals in the loss. In the deciding game 3, Baltimore was able to gain the early lead off a Mike Lookingland goal and Marco Mangione sealed the win for the Blast 4-3.
The Competition:
The Missouri Comets finished 14-6 in the regular season as they scored 329 points and allowed 217 points. They entered the playoffs as the number 3 seed and were able to defeat the Milwaukee Wave in the semi-finals. Like Baltimore, the Comets were forced into the game 3 mini game where they won 6-2 off of two Brian Harris goals. Offensively, Leo Gibson leads the MISL in post season points with 14 and Brian Harris is tied for second with 8. The Comets goalie, Danny Waltman enters the matchup with a .756 save percentage in the regular season. Syracuse is coached by Vlatko Andonovski and Goran Karadzov.
