CT Tigers Defeated by the Lowell Spinners

Norwich, CT - The Lowell Spinners defeated the CT Tigers 5-1 before 4,842 crowd at Edward A. LeLacheur Park.

In the bottom half of the first inning Lowell CF Manuel Margot (2-4) reached on an error by Tigers 3B Brett Harrison (2-3). Margot scored on a single by LF Kendrick Perkins (4-4) to make the game 1-0. In the bottom half of the third inning 2B Cleuluis Rondon (1-3) led the inning off with a single. Rondon scored on a single by Margot to take a 2-0 lead. Perkins followed with an RBI single to make the score 3-0. In the fifth inning Lowell SS Tzu-Wei Lin (0-1) reached first base following an error by Tigers 1B Jesus Ustariz (0-4). Following a single by Margo, Perkins hit a shot into left field that scored Lin to make the game 4-0. IB Nick Moore (0-3) added a sacrifice fly to give Lowell a 5-0 lead. 9

After back to back walks to Tigers C Tim Remes (0-2) and RF Patrick Smith (0-2) the Tigers got on the board following a groundout RBI from SS Curt Powell (0-3).

The Tigers head to Vermont for a three game series with the Lake Monsters Thursday Night at 7:05 p.m. at Stadium. In the first game of the series, Connecticut RHP Jonathon Crawford (0-0, 0.00) is slated to face off against Lake Monster RHP Mario Alcantara (0-0, 0.00).
