Raiders Extend Manson and Leonard

Prince Albert SK- The Prince Albert Raiders announced today that they have extended the contracts of Associate Coach Dave Manson and Assistant Coach Tim Leonard.

Manson re-joined the team as an assistant coach in the fall of 2010 and was promoted to Associate Coach following the conclusion of the 2010-2011 season. Manson played 212 career games on defence for the Raiders and was part of the Memorial Cup Championship team in 1985. After being selected in first round, 11th overall, by the Chicago Blackhawks in 1985 National Hockey League Entry Draft, he went on to play 1103 games totalling 390 points and 2792 penalty minutes.

Tim Leonard joined the Raiders in spring of 2012 following 10 years as a coach with the Prince Albert Mintos. In his 7 years as the head coach of the Mintos, Leonard won back-to-back Telus Cup national championships in 2006 and 2007, and won the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League title three times.

"We are pleased to have extended the contracts of both Dave and Tim to coincide in length with the other Hockey Operations staff," said Raiders General Manager Bruno Campese.
