IronBirds to Open 2013 Season on Monday, June 17 at Ripken Stadium

Aberdeen, Md. - The Aberdeen IronBirds, Class ‘A' short season affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, will open the 2013 season at Ripken Stadium on Monday, June 17. The IronBirds will take on the Hudson Valley Renegades beginning at 7:35 p.m. The Renegades are the Class ‘A' short season affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays.

"We are very excited to welcome our fans back to Ripken Stadium for another exciting summer," said Brad Cox, Assistant General Manager for the IronBirds. "The organization has worked effortlessly during the off-season to make some great, new changes to improve the fan experience, and are excited to officially launch the ‘New Era of IronBirds Baseball' on Monday night."

In conjunction with the Father's Day holiday, the IronBirds are offering a Father's Day ticket special that includes two tickets to Opening Night (June 17), two IronBirds hats, pre-game catch on the field and an opportunity to hold the an oversized American Flag during the National Anthem performance on Monday night. The Father's Day ticket package is available for $25.00, with additional tickets available at $12.50 per person.

Gates open at 6:00 p.m., with early entrance for season seat holders at 5:30 p.m. Nelly's Echo, local performing artist and former contestant on NBC's The Voice, will provide fans with a pre-game performance outside the main gates beginning at 5:30 p.m. He will also sing the National Anthem and God Bless America.
