Brandon, MB. - Members of the Brandon Wheat Kings will be pitching in this Wednesday as Canada celebrates Tim Hortons Camp Day!

Head Coach Dwayne Gylywoychuk will be one of a handful of Wheat Kings that will be pouring coffee and greeting guests at the 18th Street location between 11-1pm.

On Camp Day, every penny from coffee sales as well as money raised through special events and activities is donated to the Tim Horton Children's Foundation. The Foundation is dedicated to building a brighter future for young people by providing an enriched experience that will give them confidence in their abilities, pride in their accomplishments and a more positive view of their country.

Since 1974, more than 185,000 children have benefited from a Foundation camp experience. This year, more than 16,000 will attend one of the six Foundation camps located in Parry Sound and St. George, Ontario, Quyon, Quebec, Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia, Kananaskis, Alberta and Campbellsville, Kentucky.

Local Tim Hortons owners Craig and Rhonda Pardy operate all five Tim Hortons locations in Brandon (18th Street, Trans Canada, Victoria Avenue, Shoppers Mall and BRHC) as well as one in Virden.

THE FOUNDATION MISSION STATEMENT: The Tim Horton Children's Foundation is dedicated to fostering within our children the quest for a brighter future.
