Knights Continue Promotion-Packed Homestand Tonight

Fort Mill, SC - The Charlotte Knights are set to continue a promotion-packed eight-game homestand tonight at Knights Stadium as they welcome the Rochester Red Wings (Triple-A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins) to town for a four-game series. The series features the club's Annual Bark in the Ballpark on Sunday, thrilling post-game fireworks on Saturday, a Retro Baseball Card giveaway tonight, and more.
Tickets for all four games of the series are on sale now and can be purchased in person at Knights Stadium, by phone at 704-357-8071 ext. 2106, or online at http://www.charlotteknights.com.
After a fun-filled four-game series with the Toledo Mud Hens, the Knights homestand continues with another great "Flashback Fridays" celebration tonight. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. and first pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive a Retro Baseball Card Set and Knights players will wear their 1990 "throwback" jerseys. White Sox second baseman Gordon Beckham is expected to continue his Major League rehab assignment tonight.
Friday's game also features the annual Boy Scout Sleepover, thanks to Tom Johnson Camping Center. All Boy Scouts in attendance will camp out under the stars and on the field after the game.
The Knights and Carolinas HealthCare System (CHS) will also host their fifth annual health fair on Friday. Fans will have the chance to visit with medical experts from multiple facilities in the area on topics of health, wellness, fitness and lifestyle improvements.
On Saturday, the Knights and Red Wings will play game two of the series. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. for the entertaining 7:15 p.m. contest. The first 1,000 fans 12 and under will receive a Duffle Bag, courtesy of Horizon Eye Care. The beautiful KnightinGals -- the official Charlotte Knights Dance Team, will make their weekly Saturday appearance as well. Fan can expect another energetic pre-game performance.
After the game, fans can oooh and ahhh at thrilling post-game fireworks, presented by BB&T Ballpark and News Talk 1110 WBT.
On Sunday, the Knights will open gates at 1:00 p.m. for all fans and dogs, as the team's annual Bark in the Ballpark celebration will take place. Fans and canines of all ages can enjoy a 2:15 p.m. game. Dogs are free to enter the ballpark on Sunday, but their owners will need a ticket. Bark in the Ballpark is presented by Nutramax Laboratories and Spay Neuter Clinic of the Carolinas.
Sundays are Family Days at the ballpark, thanks to BB&T. All kids can "Run the Bases" after the game, thanks to Moe's Southwest Grill. Sunday's game also features Fitness Day at the ballpark and the first 1,000 fans 12 and under will receive headphones, thanks to Carolinas HealthCare System.
On Monday, the Knights will conclude their eight-game homestand with the finale of their four-game series against Rochester. Gates open at 6:00 p.m. with first pitch set for 7:15 p.m. Fans can once again chow down on mouth-watering hot dogs for just $1 thanks to Hebrew National.
