
Geertsen and Houck Invited to 2013 NHL Scouting Combine

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Giants' Mason Geertsen and Jackson Houck are among 101 of the top NHL draft-eligible players who have been invited to the 2013 NHL Scouting Combine set to take place from May 27th to June 1st in Toronto.
Geertsen is currently ranked 59th amongst North American Skaters in NHL Central Scouting's Final Rankings for the 2013 NHL Draft. Geertsen was acquired by the Giants from the Edmonton Oil Kings earlier in the season and finished the year with 14 points (2 goals, 12 assists) and 130 penalty minutes in 73 games.
Houck is currently ranked 65th amongst North American Skaters and led the Giants in scoring with 57 points (23 goals, 34 assists) in 69 games. The North Vancouver native moved up 47 spots, from 112th to 65th, since the NHL Central Scouting's Mid-Term Rankings. Houck was also named the Most Valuable Player and Most Improved Player on the Giants for the 2012/13 season.
The 2013 NHL Draft will take place on June 30, 2013 in New Jersey.
