Steelhawks Team Up with NCC Business Club to Dedicate Memorial Weekend Game to Our Nation's Heroes

Bethlehem, PA: Lehigh Valley Steel Hawks 3rd Annual Memorial Day Tribute - Saturday, May 25th. Pre-game activities begin at 4:00 PM - Kick-off 7:00PM.

Officially proclaimed "Memorial Day" on May 5, 1868 by General John Logan, May 30th was intended to be a day of placing flowers on graves and remembering those who died in the Civil War. Many wars have come and gone since then, and Memorial Day now honors those who died fighting in any war.

The Lehigh Valley Steel Hawks and NCC Business Club Members would like to dedicate this game to all of the brave women and men who have lost their lives defending this great nation's freedom! Esteemed guests will include local representatives of America's Gold Star Moms, Northampton Community College's "Band of Brothers" (military outreach group), and members of the Lehigh Valley Military Affairs Council.

The U.S. Marine Corps will be posting the colors in the opening ceremonies. Each branch of the military will be honored. Registered veterans will be recognized for their service to our great nation. Boy Scouts from Minsi Trails Councils will be volunteering their community service to show their support. There will be a bag pipe performance by "Bagpiping by Kim".
