Game Day Promotions Announced for 2013 Season

Wisconsin Rapids, WI- May 15, 2013. The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters announced today that they have again partnered with Bev's Floral & Gifts to provide the "Bev's Floral Sweetheart of the Game" promotion during 29 Rafters home games this summer. The Rafters also announced that Home Furniture will present the "Best Seats in the House" again this year as well as three new partnerships with Rubi Reds, Nieman Photography, and Bowlmor Lanes.

During 29 home games in 2013, one lucky fan will have the opportunity to receive two bleacher tickets to a Rafters game for them and a guest. In between one inning during the game, their guest will be presented with a dozen roses by the Rafters mascot, Rosco P. Rafter, all courtesy of Bev's Floral & Gifts.

"Bev's Floral is very excited to be a sponsor of the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters 2013 Season with the Sweetheart of the Game Promotion," commented Debbie Freeberg of Bev's Floral & Gifts. "Go to the Rafters website and tell us about your sweetheart, special celebration or occasion and one lucky winner will be selected to receive one dozen premium long stemmed red roses during a game this summer."

All fans interested in taking part in this promotion will have the chance to submit an e-mail to john@raftersbaseball.com or call the Rafters office at 715-424-5400 explaining the reason as to why their sweetheart should receive a bouquet of roses during a Rafters game. Each week during the season, winners will be contacted by the Rafters staff and directed to pick up their tickets at the Will Call window at Witter Field for the game they are selected to attend. Some occasions that would be ideal for the recipient of the flower bouquet include: Anniversary, birthday, recently married, engagement, special achievement, graduation, new baby, etc. There will be 29 games during which the promotion will take place during the upcoming season!

Bev's Floral & Gifts is located in Stevens Point. The business is family owned and operated to serve all of your floral needs. During all Wednesday and Friday home games this summer, Home Furniture will be the presenting sponsor of the "Best Seats in the House" at the ballpark (11 dates). Each winner of the Best Seats in the House will win two all-you-can eat and drink tickets for a game and the opportunity to enjoy Rafters baseball from two La-Z-Boy recliners, all courtesy of Home Furniture. Each winner will also be invited to return on August 11th for Fan Appreciation Night to take part in a drawing for the chance to win one of the La-Z-Boy recliners!

All fans interested in enjoying a game from the Home Furniture "Best Seats in the House" can log onto www.raftersbaseball.com and click on the "Contests" tab under the "Gameday" button on the top menu bar. From the Contests page, all fans will be able to access the sign-up page and submit their e-mail address for the chance to sit in the "Best Seats in the House" during a game this summer. Winners will be contacted by a member of the Home Furniture staff and directed to pick up their tickets at Home Furniture, 1840 West Grand Avenue, in Wisconsin Rapids for the game they are chosen to attend. The "Best Seats in the House" promotion will take place on every Wednesday and Friday home game in 2013 as well as the final game of the regular season, Fan Appreciation Night, on Sunday, August 11th.

Home Furniture, with three locations, proudly serves the Wisconsin Rapids, Plover, and Madison areas. Home Furniture prides themselves on quality, service, and selection with many lines of furniture that are American Made or Amish Crafted. Home Furniture in both Wisconsin Rapids and Plover is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Wednesday; from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday; from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday; and 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

At every Wednesday home game this summer (7 nights), make sure to purchase a cranberry colored tennis ball at the A-F Motors Guest Services Booth for your chance to compete in the "Rubi Reds Cranberry Toss". All fans will have the opportunity to purchase the cranberry tennis balls that will be tossed onto the field in between one of the innings with the intent of making it into a kiddie pool on the field. There will be a limited number of tennis balls sold per game and all proceeds from the tennis ball toss will be donated to a local non-profit organization, courtesy of Rubi Reds, LLC. Winner(s) each game could be eligible for Rafters or Rubi Reds gifts or product.

Rubi Reds, LLC is a Wisconsin owned small business which packages and sells delicious, premium cranberry products. They feature the finest quality sweetened dried cranberries grown and produced in Wisconsin, the nation's leader in cranberry production. The family owned and operated business is committed to serving the local community as well as customers around the United States. Their services include retail, wholesale, fundraising, corporate gifting, and private labeling. The retail store is located at 4081 8th Street in Wisconsin Rapids.

The Rafters have partnered with Nieman Photography this season to highlight some of the loyal fans that have supported the team during the first three seasons at Witter Field. Nieman Photography will be the presenting sponsor of the "Season Ticket Holder in the Spotlight" promotion each week during the 2013 season. All current season ticket package holders that have been with the team from the inaugural season to the present would be eligible to receive recognition for their continued support.

Selected season ticket package holders that are selected will be contacted by the Rafters staff and instructed to stop down to Nieman Photography to get their picture taken for the Rafters website. The Nieman Photography Season Ticket Holder in the Spotlight selected each week will be announced on the message board at the ballpark and via public address announcement while also being recognized on the field prior to a home game each week. The season ticket holder will also receive the opportunity to throw out a first pitch prior to the game they attend and receive a gift from the Rafters team. All of this is presented by Nieman Photography, located at 130 East Grand Avenue in Wisconsin Rapids.

On every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday home game during the 2013 season, make sure to watch for the "Bowlmor Lanes Baseline Bowling" on-field promotion. All fans 13 and under are eligible to sign up for the weekly drawing at Bowlmor Lanes in Wisconsin Rapids for a chance to win two FREE tickets to a Rafters game as well as an opportunity to participate in an on-field bowling promotion during the game. All fans 13 and under can submit their name in the "register to win" sign-up box at Bowlmor Lanes, located at 3141 8th Street South. All winners will be contacted by a member of the Rafters staff to claim their tickets at the Will Call booth for a specified game and with further instructions.

The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters are members of the 16-team summer collegiate Northwoods League. The Rafters will play a 70 game schedule with 35 home games in 2012. Opening Day at historic Witter Field is scheduled for Wednesday, May 30th at 7:05 pm against the La Crosse Loggers.
