
Boston Bruins Recall Defenseman Torey Krug from Providence

Boston, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, May 14, that the team has recalled defenseman Torey Krug from Providence (AHL). Krug will join Boston on Wednesday, May 15.
Krug skated in two games with Boston this season where he recorded one assist. In his NHL career, Krug has skated in three games with Boston and has notched two assists.
Thus far in the AHL Calder Cups Playoffs, the defenseman has appeared in all seven postseason games for Providence, where has recorded three assists and a team-high 26 shots on net.
Krug skated in 63 regular season games with Providence this season and registered 13 goals and 32 assists for 45 points with 37 penalty minutes. The 21-year-old blueliner led all Providence D-men in goals (13), assists (32) and points (45). Overall, Krug finished third on the P-Bruins in assists, fourth in points, and tied for fourth in goals.
The 5'9", 180-pound hails from Livonia, Michigan and was signed as a free agent by the Bruins on March 25, 2012.
