
Pats Coaches Named to Team West U17 Staff

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Saskatchewan Hockey Association and Hockey Manitoba have announced the coaching staff for Team West at the upcoming 2014 World U-17 Hockey Challenge in Cape Breton starting December 29th, 2013.
Two Pats coaches will be behind the bench of Team West for the tournament featuring the top players from Saskatchewan and Manitoba in the under-17 age group.
Pats Head Coach Malcolm Cameron will be the Head Coach for Team West. Cameron was an assistant coach with Team West at the 2013 World U-17 Hockey Challenge in Drummondville and Victoriaville, Quebec. The native of Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia will be behind the Pats bench for his third season and first as the team's head coach when the 2013-14 WHL campaign begins.
p gThe Pats will also be represented by Assistant Coach Josh Dixon who will make his Team West debut in Cape Breton. Prior to joining the Pats, Dixon was the Head Coach of the varsity program at the Okanagan Hockey Academy.
"As an organization, we know we have an excellent coaching staff," says Pats General Manager Chad Lang. "We're proud of the fact two of our coaches have this chance to coach on a national level. Malcolm and Josh are very deserving of this opportunity and I know they will represent the Pats well in Cape Breton."
Next up for the Pats coaching staff is the Pats Spring Camp at the Cooperators Centre May 31th - June 2st. All of the Regina Pats recent draft picks and prospects will be in Regina for the annual three day orientation and evaluation session.
