LOVES PARK, Ill. - The Rockford Aviators, presented by Pearson, released their 2013 Promotional Schedule Friday. The club opens its season Friday, May 17 at Aviators Stadium against the Frontier Greys at 7:05 p.m. Opening Day festivities include Cadence Barbershop Quartet performing prior to the game, a pregame flyover, courtesy of Code 1 Aviation, and a spectacular postgame fireworks show!
All Thursday games will be known as Backyard Grill & Bar $1 Beer Nights. All game, draft beers are just $1 and bottles are just $2.
Fans can enjoy nine postgame fireworks shows this season with the addition of "Friday Night Fireworks!" after seven of the Aviators' eight Friday home games with the exception being August 23. Additionally, fans can see fireworks shows after games on July 3 and August 24.
Saturdays are full of giveaways! Magnetic schedules, aviators sunglasses, t-shirts, baseball caps, Rocko bobbleheads, fleece blankets, diamonds and rally towels will all be given away on various Saturdays throughout the season. Additionally, baseball cards will be given away Wednesday, July 10. All giveaways go to the first 1,000 fans.
YMCA Family Nights are back in 2013! Every Sunday home game, you can play catch on the field prior to the game (4-4:30 p.m.), kids tickets are just $2, the YMCA will have extra inflatables and activities on-hand and kids can run the bases after the game! There will also be four 50̢̉ Hot Dog Nights this season, special nights for veterans, senior citizens, and more.
