
Roughriders Unveil Riderville North

The Saskatchewan Roughriders unveiled the creation of Riderville North and details of events to take place throughout Northern Saskatchewan today.
The Riderville North Committee has been established to take a lead role in the execution of events taking place in Northern Saskatchewan in anticipation of November's 101st Grey Cup in Regina. Events will commence with the kickoff of Roughriders training camp on June 2nd at the University of Saskatchewan's Griffiths Stadium.
"We would like to thank John Hyshka and the Riderville North Committee for all of their hard work and dedication," stated Riders Chair Roger Brandvold. "We truly are a provincial team and thanks to this committee and our tremendous fan support, we look forward to a number of great events in northern Saskatchewan this year."
Challenge Cup Touch Football (Delta Bessborough/Griffiths Stadium): Monday, June 3rd to Friday, June 7th 24 team tournament involving businesses from across Saskatoon and surrounding communities. Games will take place during the lunch hour at the Bessborough Hotel, with lunch being served. The week will culminate with a single elimination tournament and wind up party Friday night at Griffiths Stadium.
VIP 101 (The Sheraton): Thursday, June 6th 3-5pm Members of the corporate community are invited to a meet and greet with members of the Rider staff and get an understanding of what Grey Cup festivities and initiatives are happening in Saskatoon.
Riderville North Fan Fest Day (Griffiths Stadium): Saturday, June 8th This Rider event is held annually in Saskatoon. The day begins for the fans with a full team autograph session with fans encouraged to stay and watch the Riders practice.
Riderville North Saturday, November 23rd The Grey Cup Festival will head north as Saskatoon will host a Riderville party. Featuring live entertainment, ultra-cool appearances and so much more, Riderville North will be a true "Celebration in Rider Nation."
