JUPITER, Fla. - Isaac Galloway's walk-off RBI double in the 13th inning lifted the Hammerheads to a 5-4 win over the Blue Jays Wednesday night at Roger Dean Stadium.
After Dunedin broke a 3-3 tie on a sacrifice fly in the top of the 13th, Ryan Fisher lead off the bottom half with a single to center field. Austin Barnes followed with a double, moving Fisher to third. Next, Noah Perio erased the deficit with a sacrifice fly, scoring Fisher. Galloway then crushed a double off the wall in left-center field, scoring Barnes from second while clinching Jupiter's third-straight win.
Galloway's walk-off hit was his second double of the game, which extended his multi-hit game streak to five. He's now batting .591 (12-for-22) since last Friday.
Barnes also doubled twice, extending his own hitting streak to 10 games. He's batting .465 (20- for-43) since April 19, raising his average 117 points to .357, second-best in the Florida State League.
Following a three-spot from the Blue Jays in the fifth, the Hammerheads rallied with three runs of their own in the seventh. Galloway's first double of the game scored Barnes. Austin Nola later drove in a run with a triple, and major league rehabber Adeiny Hechavarria singled home another.
RHP Jay Rogers-starting in place of the recently DL'd RHP Jacob Esch-allowed three earned runs on six hits and a walk in 4.1 innings, raising his season ERA to 2.66. Five relievers (RHP Kevin Cravey, LHP Greg Nappo, RHP Jordan Conley, RHP Nick Wittgren and RHP Ronald Barnes) combined for 8.2 innings of four-hit ball, striking out nine.
Jupiter's team ERA is 3.18 after Wednesday night's thrilling win, second-best in the Florida State League. Their starting pitching has been even better, as they've combined to post a 2.32 ERA and 1.08 WHIP in 116.2 innings (25 starts) this season.
The Hammerheads are now 9-8 since starting the season on an eight-game losing streak. Their win Wednesday night lifted them into sole possession of fourth place in the South Division standings, only four games behind the Palm Beach Cardinals. Jupiter will go for the sweep Thursday night at 6:35 p.m. when they send RHP Jose Urena (2-1, 3.42 ERA) to the mound against Dunedin's RHP Aaron Sanchez (1-1, 3.16 ERA).
