
Bob Bozzuto Returns to Wild Things

Washington, Pa - The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Financial, announced that coach Bob Bozzuto will return to the Washington Club for the 2013 season. This will be his seventh year as coach of the Frontier League team.
During his previous tenure with Washington, "Boz" served in many capacities, including bench coach, infield coach, hitting coach, and third base coach. He helped guide the club during some of their most successful seasons, including multiple postseason berths, a club-record 63 wins in 2005, and a trip to the Frontier League Championship Series in 2007.
In addition to being a Frontier League coaching veteran, Bozzuto has also managed successful teams in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate League, the Erie Shores Summer Collegiate League, the Tri-State Summer Collegiate League. As the Director of Athletics at North Allegheny High School, he currently oversees one of the largest, and most successful, high school sports programs in Pennsylvania. An administrator of numerous baseball and coaching clinics, Bozzuto takes pride in teaching the game to others.
"I am very happy to return to the Wild Things," said Bozzuto. "I will work tirelessly with the coaches and players to ensure we have a successful team this season. Our fans are some of the best in professional baseball and I look forward to seeing many familiar faces in the stands. The goal is to bring a championship to the people of Washington."
Bozzuto resides in Greensburg, with his wife, Shelley. His youngest son, Anthony, a former bat boy and bullpen catcher with the Wild Things, is currently a freshman at Pitt-Greensburg.
The Wild Things, who will host the 2013 Frontier League All Star Game in July, are gearing up for their season opener, scheduled for Friday May 24th.
